Uncovering the power of Leica-Xiaomi 13 Series

Xiaomi has just launched its new smartphones from the Xiaomi 13 line, under the slogan Behind the masterpiece. In addition to the base model, it also presented a Pro version and a Lite version. But which one will be best for your needs, requirements… and wallet?

The Xiaomi 13 Pro is the premium model. It has a ceramic construction (available in black and white, the classic colors) and the processor is a 4 nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, with 12 GB of RAM.

The screen is 6.73″ with a resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels and a dynamic refresh rate from 1 to 120Hz. The finish is slightly curved, has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection and also offers features such as Dolby Vision, Pro HDR, HDR10+ and 360º ambient light sensor.

The entire structure that supports the cameras has fundamental collaboration with Leica, both in sensors and in the app, with software optimizations. The main camera is 50 MP with a 1″ sensor and f/1.9 aperture; the telephoto camera is also 50 MP and f/2.0 aperture; the ultra-wide angle is 50 MP with 115º angle and f/2.2 aperture, with support for macro shots at 5cm.It records at 4K at 60fps.The front camera is 32 MP. Regarding the battery, it has a capacity of 4820 mAh and charges at 120W – in 19 minutes it charges 100% in Boost mode and in 24 minutes in Standard mode. It can also be wirelessly charged at 50W and offers 10W reversible charging. Brings the LiquidCool Technology cooling system. Also noteworthy is the fact that it is waterproof and dustproof, has stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, NFC and a complete set of sensors. It comes equipped with Android 13 and MIUI 14. The new Xiaomi 13 Pro smartphone is available in white or black, in 12/256GB and 12/512GB models, starting at €1387 (VAT included).

The Xiaomi 13 model presents itself as a top proposal also with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and 8 or 12 GB of RAM. It comes equipped with Android 13 and MIUI 14.

The main camera module also has a Leica partnership, with a 50 MP wide-angle camera, a 10 MP telephoto with up to 3.2X optical zoom and a 12 MP ultra wide angle. The front camera is 32 MP.

The Xiaomi 13 comes equipped with a 6.36″ screen with AMOLED technology and a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. This screen has an aspect ratio of 20:9 with a density of 414ppi. Note that the screen has a perforation for the front camera in the center, on top, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Furthermore, it has an adaptive refresh rate (AdaptiveSync), which adjusts itself according to the displayed content and which works very competently. Also noteworthy is the fact that it has a maximum brightness of 1900 nits, TrueColor display, Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and Widevine L1 certification, to watch streaming content in FullHD, such as Netflix. The Xiaomi 13 has a 4500 mAh battery that charges at a maximum power of 67W, with a charger available in the box. In addition, the smartphone charges at 50W wirelessly and even has reverse charging at 10W.
